Greater than one weekGood SSD for the price. I have one with higher xfer speeds I use for gaming, so I use this one mainly for storage (but its fast enough for gaming too). Ill likely buy another for my last open slot.

Greater than one weekI had a laptop with a 256GB NVME that was nearly full, and this was the largest the laptop would accomodate. With and external drive case to duplicate, it was an easy swap. Very highly rated for this capacity in a 3rd gen NVME

> 3 dayI havent run any tests, I may do that later. Anecdotally at least I can say that the performance is great and a much needed upgrade coming from a 2tb hdd. Ive had several hard drives and I have never had a pleasent experience with using them. Theyre bulky, can make noise and really bad noise if theyre old or get slightly damaged, and slow. The only benefit they have is that theyre cheap and I guess if you want to destroy the data on it theyre easy to break. Im done using hdds after Ive gone through 3 within ~5 years and none of them have been great—one of them was a cheap refurbished one so you could argue that one doesnt count. They all continued to work, but they definitely slowed down over quite a bit overtime/once nearing full, and all of them have developed a horrible scraping noise they all sounded like they were on their way out, Im not sure if moving my PC slightly has damaged the disk somehow or what, but all of them were noisy either out of the box or after some use. This ssd is silent (no moving parts, so makes sense), fast, and has little to no impact from storage space getting near full. Most noticable benefit frlm switching to this ssd is how fast the windows 10 UI is and navigating the start menu such as searching for files or anything software related is a breeze compared to how it was prior.

07-06-2025In addition to SK Hynix apparently selling drives as new that had been returned (prior purchaser had very carefully switched labels on drives that I didnt notice it until installed and BIOS reported drive was Samsung), downloading their SSD drive tools is not possible because SSD.Hynix.com has download speeds I haven’t seen since dialup modems. Download consistent times out at 12MB downloaded.
