WE have a bar in the bottom to keep the door secure until my toddler learned how to open the slider. This was not only easy to install but it works great! 4 stars for easy to use was because getting to unlock is sometimes not as easy but once you figure it out its not that bad. First one we installed really close to the door when it was closed as the directions suggested. 2nd one we install (different slider) we moved about 2-3mm from the door. I like the ability to open better at the 2-3mm distance. I still highly suggest this! Perfect to keep that toddler inside and safe.

I bout it because my cat is crazy about sliding doors in our small storage - he opens them and throws everything down from the shelves. Not anymore! The thingy itself is a bit big because I had to attach it to the mirror-doors, however as long as they do the job im happy

My kitties have learned that no sliding closet door is off limits for them! With their claws and a bit of perseverance, they can go anywhere they want to. Until Sure Basics came to my rescue with their simple -- and simply perfect -- solution. Easy to set, easy to use, and totally effective. They are unobtrusive, hardly noticeable. Plus, and this is a big deal nowadays, the instructions they provide are written clearly and completely. I could not be happier. Finally, I do recommend their clear lock rather than the similar locks in colors like white. Although my doors appear to be white to me, they are actually a very pale eggshell color. White would have stood out. These clear locks are hardly noticeable.

Amazing product! If you have cats who love to play in your closet this will keep them out. I was skeptical that a tiny piece of plastic would be strong enough for my large sliding mirrored closet doors, BUT THEY WORK!!! It is easy to open when you want in but it keeps the kitties out!! Do not hesitate to purchase!!

Easy to install and works great. Needed to keep the kids out of a closet and it works great. Easy to lock and unlock. Great find!

So far, so good. Keeps my toddler out of the closet. The lock doesnt seem incredibly strong, so I imagine if she tried aggressively enough, it would fail. Added note: I have had this lock on the sliding closet door for almost a year, and it is still going strong! My daughter has never gotten the door open when it is locked. I never thought it would be strong enough for my sliding patio door, but I decided to try one there, too. I am amazed at how sturdy it feels. Not a substitute for supervision, but I dont think shell be able to get that door open either! I changed my 4 stars to 5, because this little lock has exceeded my expectations!

I love this product. Super easy to install. Super easy to use. I baby proofed the sliding doors on a walk-in closet and it works amazingly. I highly recommend this product.

Easy to stick on and works like a charm

These are genius! We have one on both our sliding glass door and the sliding pantry door. The pantry door would get a little stuck on it while sliding open, so I took off the grippy plastic part and now it slides open perfectly. I looooooove that It keeps both my 2 yr old and 4 old out. It keeps me out unless I open it, lol! They are definitely strong enough. Works perfectly!

Well...as easy as it was to install, once that sticky backside sticks to the surface- its there for good!!! They are exactly what I needed. Not bulky and perfect for my sliding glass door. I got them because I have a doggie door and wanted a little security to make sure the door stayed flush with the dog door and closed. Just be careful- once the backing touches the surface, it grabs it!!
