> 24 hourBought these as they are rated fairly highly. After initial setup they worked for a few attempts. After a few hours both plugs are now unresponsive in the Apple Home app and the process to reset them is to delete everything and set it up again. They are still working in their own app, though. Definitely not an elegant Apple experience. Hopefully Matter support for smart home objects increases reliability in the whole niche. Would not recommend these smart plugs.

> 24 hourThis is 2nd HomeKit product that I ordered during the prime day sales that simply will not work with my Eero routers. They need to remove the HomeKit licensing and badging from this product. I’m literally sick of wasting time trying to get poorly designed products based on long outdated technologies still being allowed to be certified for HomeKit, Google Home and Alexa when they cannot even join our wifi networks. A wifi device that can’t connect to wifi is absolutely useless. Absolute garbage and a waste of my time. It’s a shame because now I’m 100% not going to buy any Meross/Refoss thread devices when they launch. Terrible first impression.

> 24 hourWorks great with HomeKit. However, I had issues with my WiFi that made them keep disconnecting. Once I replaced the router the issues went away.

> 24 hourIm getting older so I dont care that Im getting a bit more lazier. Sitting and just telling Alexa to turn on or off our lights is so nice. Can use the downloaded app to control the lights also if youre not at home and want your house to look lived in. Havent tried any timer function yet. Easy to just plug in and set up. Love these.

> 24 hourI wish they were smaller, many are nowadays, but at $10 a piece it’s hard to complain much. I plan to use these with HomeKit and my Christmas decor so I can easily kill the blowup decor and lights with my phone/voice. Ll

> 24 hourSeemed like good value and practical design with the on-device button for manual operation. Setup with Apple Home App was reasonably easy too, but after ~1 year all my 4 devices stopped working - icons updating or not reachable all the time: Apple Home Kit cannot activate the smart plugs anymore. Resetting, readding and configuring does help for minutes only (while in BT range?).

> 24 hourThese worked great, until they didn’t. They started working intermittently and then not at all. All the resetting and reconnecting in the world wouldn’t work. Updates, troubleshooting, nothing worked. Avoid these.

> 24 hourI was a bit apprehensive when I saw the reviews after I purchased this for my home. I originally went to Target and got a competitor brand TP and had issues connecting to my HomeKit. This one worked great. Simple steps - Make sure your WiFi you select is 2.4 (not 5) - Download the app, create account - Plug in the smart plug. Make sure it blinks. - Follow prompts on the app. - Scan the QR code- should be on the plug itself. - Give the plug a name (its helpful to give it an easy name, as youll need to use it when Siri turns Kitchen Light on/ off) - Done! It took me a few times t figure out how to set a schedule. Theres various ways and scenarios you can do, and I think I got it down. Ive had it for a week, and so far the schedule is working. What I wished it had was random on/ off to make it look like I am home when I am out... but I can always turn it on remotely, or create some random schedule. Overall pleased with the product. Im not giving it 5 stars as I think theres probably something out there thats better, but to come into a home thats has a light on, rather than a dark house sure makes things feel more welcoming.

> 24 hourRefoss comes from the same far east manufacture as Meross, but cheaper. I don’t know how well Meross works yet, but at this time, Refoss doesn’t work very well. At first, the setup was easy and quick, going through the Apple HomeKit app. But after a few days everything fell apart. I could not reconnect any of my Refoss devices to Apple HomeKit. Refoss/Meross’s own app worked fine during this time, and I could continue to use the devices through their app…but I don’t want to do that, I have enough home automation apps already and just tired of it all. If it doesn’t work well going through HomeKit, Alexa, and/or Google…then it goes right into the garbage, it’s just that easy for me right now. I’ve been in the automation business for a long time and you still get what you pay for. So you go cheap with Refoss, you get cheap service. After a few hours, all my Refoss items finally reconnected back to HomeKit and all was good….but just for a few more days. I also noticed a lot of bot reviews here, so I can’t trust much of them, I would keep that in mind. I hope this review helps somebody. At this time, I cannot recommend this brand to my family, friends, and all who read this review. Happy shopping!!
