Bought this as a Christmas present for my sons 3ds xl

Ill warn you that this case is probably bigger than youd expect. It big enough that my hand can not wrap around the whole case. This is a problem if you expect this to be good for carrying in a purse or small bag. It can be carried in a backpack. Should have known better when choosing. This is great if you plan to travel a lot and need that heavy protection and room for games/charger. But if you dont bring it around that much, this is a liability for room. I recommend some smaller, thinner case because its more flexible for the average user. The game cartridge slots are quite tight which prevents falling out, but the tightness requires some uncomfortable force to push the cartridge in. Its just a worry that one day I could scrape the cartridges pins by pushing it in. So far though I see no damage and the case does all of what its intended. Just know that the size and bulk is the greatest issue here and should affect your choice. For the n3ds standard size, youll have to use the separate pocket thing to hold it still or else itll rock around in the case with movement.

Bought for both my boys. One had a 3DS and the other, a DS XL. They both put chargers in and some games. More colors would be a nice option.
