These things work great with a bungee to strap a backpack down against my backrest. When trailering my bike they are indispensable. Wrapped around the handlebars then attached to ratchet straps and not scuffing of the chrome. These things are well made and sturdy. I have no worries with them holding my bike on a trailer.
