Havent used them yet but added a grommet to one end so I could mount two under the hood of my van to have a tie down point on each side to tie down the front of my canoe.

Exactly as described, kept me from having to use metal hooks on my roof racks. No scratches to deal with. My only issue was I only needed 4. But the price was negligible.

Solid product for the price. Moving to Montana and towing my wideglide on a flatbed. Thousand mile trip. Trusting that these will work out fine. Time will tell...
