> 3 dayThis tool does what it is designed to do. Read the design parameters. This is a basic tool....detects common defects. Keep in mind that poorly installed electrical systems can have a baffling combination of errors. If the solution to your problem is not immediately apparent...seek qualified help!!!

> 3 dayOur LED lights flicker when the washer is running so I was worried that we might have a wiring problem. I used a multimeter on a few outlets but determining problems using a multimeter is a multi step process and Im always worried about breaking the multimeter sticking it into live sockets. This tester is so much simpler and gives immediate results. I was able to check every outlet in the house within 10 minutes. I found a few that were wired in reverse, which is an easy fix.

> 3 dayWith two work sites and two tool boxes, I decided to get another outlet tester. At $9 this Southwire is a good value these days. Easy to use - just plug it in. Two yellow/orange lights means good. Red or any other combination means something is wrong. However in daylight it can be difficult to see which orange/amber is lit.
