No way it is 16 AWG (American Wire Gauge) more like 18 or 20. BUT i do like the fact it is made in the USA! trying to get in touch with the company.

This wire is perfect for wiring up my model railroad layout. And may be used for many projects. Wire is flexible and solders very well.

It is hard to write a review about wire but the strands are a good guage and the insulation strips easily and seems to be tough. Was a good deal and the electronics I hooked up with it work.
