Great case for pencils. I was surprised how fast I filled it up but otherwise great quality and easy carrying size.

I have the Global Art Materials 120 piece pencil holder, which though rather pricey, fits my colored pencils nicely. The quality more than makes up for the price and I believe it is worth the price. Made of durable leather, the case is comfortable to hold and I only wish that the manufacturers had placed a strap on it to make carrying it even more convenient. I purchased this 72-piece pencil holder as I wanted another, smaller case to fit my pencils, pens, and Staedtler Triplus Fine Point markers. My graphite pencils fit two to a strap as did the pens and markers. However, I was only able to fit in 48 pens, pencils, and markers in this holder and cant imagine how one would fit in 72 pieces, unless some were placed on top of the existing writing utensils. I am still happy with the product though as it organizes my writing utensils and makes them easily accessible and portable.

I really like this case. Luckily I was in a craft store when I saw it and got to try it out before buying. I had to buy a much larger size based on my pencil size. The case has loops that hold anywhere between two to four pencils, depending on how fat your pencils are. I got this for my Derwent Inktense pencils and only 3 fit per loop. The pencil count on the case description is based on four fitting in a loop. I can get 4 of my Faber-Castelle watercolor pencils in the slot. How much the case hold will depend on how skinny or fat your pencils are. I could also put my eraser and sharpener in the loops. After you zip it up, everything stays put. I organized my pencils based on the color spectrum and now can see the color names and quickly get to a specific color w/o having to dig through my dark pencil pouch for a while to find a specific color.

Just great, but the pencils are to tight so you have to taken out or in carefully.

The case does hold 72 pencils, or thin pens like Stabilos, but if you are buying this case for thicker gel pens then it will not hold the advertised amount. It will only hold about 48 gel pens, which is what I bought it for. See photo for the comparison. You can see on the left side that it will only hold 2 gelly roll pens per elastic section but will hold 3 pencils or Stabilo pens, shown on the right side. I bought it for gel pens so I had to return it for a bigger size. The case is pretty decent quality with a nice leather aroma. I also really like the snaps on the zippers that prevents the case from opening when you dont want it to.

Love it. It is exactly what I wanted. Does exactly what I need it to do. My expensive pencils are safely packed and always ready for use.

These are beautiful cases and nice for transporting my colored pencils, markers, pens, and other. I love having them laying open while I’m doodling or coloring and people will come by and ask “where did I get that case of pencils?!” Two things that need to change: 1) The amount of pencils advertised to fit. My 60-set of Faber Castell pencils barely fit. Yes, fitting 3 or 4 pencils in each loop is what’s advertised, but in no way should it be used to transport. If you look fully sharpened pencils (like me), then it’s just not conducive to trying to force pencils to fit in that case. Widen the case in order to add more loops, or lower the advertised count. Lyra Rembrandt colored pencils are the only colored pencils I have that comfortably fit the advertised count in all the cases I purchased: 48 canvas, 72/120 leather. Polychromos and Caran d’ache had to be forced, and the Derwent Coloursofts, I didn’t even try. The more comfortable pencils are thicker, so it’s not sensible to think that the maximum count—as it stands—can fit in the cases. 2) The thickness of the case. Global Art has the colored pencil cases design on lockdown in comparison to what I’ve researched sold in the U.S. It would be great if the cases (especially the 24/48 ones) could be designed to be thinner. I like carrying some pencils around with me on a regular bases, but the case is sooo thick, it’s hard to fit in my purse. With coloring books making #1 on the bestseller lists, the sales of coloring utensils increase, and more people probably want their collections in a portable feature. I will keep an eye out for a more portable case. Finally, these cases are sold at an amazing price point and value. It’s so amazing that a company actually cares enough to keep a price affordable. It makes purchasing this case one of the smartest decisions one can make this year. :-)
