The net was unraveling around the parameter straight out of the box prior to assembly. Contacted Spikeball customer service today 5/28/19. Well see how this gets resolved. Without a design upgrade, I foresee future nets having the same issue.

Just took out of box, and went to inflate ball a little more, and the valve on the pump came off in my hand. :( It is black plastic. It was the first attempt, and off it came. I am quite familiar with its use, just cheaply made. Jury is still out on the rest of the product. Family went out to try it out and they said the ball didnt bounce at all off the net. Just hoping the rest of it is not as poorly made. The net seemed to be a bit flimsy, at $120.00, I had hoped for a bit better quality. Will give it another try...but family was disappointed.

The first time you sport the pro set backpack you will instantly know that the mere $100 was a steal for what you got. The second you feel the pro ball and reinforced rim you will actually consider sending spikeball more money because it feels like you robbed them. Coming from somebody who has broken traditional spikeball framing on several occasions I can say the pro set is a must have. Spike on.

As a competitive Spikeball player, the differences between the Pro Set and the Original Set are very clear. Not only does the net itself have added durability and stability, the rubber pads on the bottom of the posts allow for it to be used on gym floors without it sliding. The new net design also reduces the amount of pockets, leading to cleaner games and less controversial calls. The ball feels great compared to the old. It flies consistent and the dimples along it (similar to a golf ball idea) increase grip upon contact, leading to more controllable passes and the option of putting more spin on the ball. The bag overall is more sturdy and the amenities that come with it (pump, serving line, ball measurer) are convenient for the competitive play. Overall, five stars!

After watching teens play this on the beach and reading the reviews, I decided to get this top of the line version. The net is simply netting that you have to pull taut yourself. Much more like a badminton net than a trampoline. My 6- and 8-year-old grandsons found the game frustrating compared to handball, basketball and baseball.
