Greater than one weekGreat product. Great scent and blade glide! Works as well as Truefitt and Hill. I shave my face and head so I need a product with extra protection…my rotation is 4 scents from St. James and two from TRUEFITT. I have tried almost EVERYTHING over the past 20 plus years of wet shaving, these two companies are my faves. TOBS gets an honorable mention and CELLA is my go to for travel. (Their red tub Almond is a great soap!)

> 3 dayThis gives the best shaving experience I ever had. I had always used tallow-based soaps, avoiding creams, but tried this one on recommendation from my son. The lather is rich, smooth and creamy. Slickness is superior and allows a couple of swipes before re-lathering for another pass. It is very water tolerant and doesnt get thin and foamy if you over water. I get a great close shave every time that lasts through the day. It appears pricey, but you need so very little to create mounds of rich, creamy lather so it becomes very cost effective. I am using the Cedarwood and Clary Sage. Fragrance is very nice and lasts a few hours. I tried Barrister & Mann, Mikes, Cold River, Cella (my first. so still a nostalgic and fond favorite), all the Poraso, Taylor of Old Bond Street. This, without question, is the best of them all. My other gear: Merkur 34C, Voskhod blades from ebay (less than $10 per 100 so I replace on a 5 day use cycle), Semogue boar brushes: 1470, 820, 1250.

Greater than one weekI rate this cream as something special, yet virtually unknown at the review sites (except one) ! Smooth and efficient razor gliding over the face, with good-sized Fendrihan brush. Comfortable feeling on the face afterward. Mild, pleasant aroma. Alternate this with Sir Hare, and you will not need any other.

Greater than one weekI have tried Taylor of Old Bond Street, Cremo, this product, and various commodity shaving creams at the big box retail stores. In my opinion, this product is tied with the Cremo brand for best shaving performance. Fragrance intensity is subtle, tied with Cremo, less than TOBS. I really like the scent of this product, but not everyone is a fan of all things cedar (their loss). I really like the solid feel of the heavyweight glass jar. Probably not the lightest thing to take when traveling, though.

> 3 dayIve tried a lot of different shaving creams and soaps over the years, Crabtree & Evelyn soap, Taylor of Old Bond Street soap, LOccitane en Provence Cade cream, but this time, one of my favorites, the Cade cream was out of stock and had been for some time, so I went looking for another. I found this St. James of London Cedarwood and Clarysage cream and Im glad my previous cream was out of stock. Ill stick with this one for as long as I can. One thing I noticed, right away, is how concentrated this shave cream is. A very tiny dab at the end of a wet brush (perhaps a dime size dab if your using your hands instead of a brush) gave me great lasting lather, that also smells great and makes my skin feel good afterwards. I use Thayers alcohol-free witch hazel as an after shave. I highly recommend this shave cream. Seems the Brits know how to make it best.
