Stainless Steel Taps - Maple Sap Pail Spout & Hook - Spiles for making Maple Syrup (5)

> 3 dayWasnt sure how well these would turn out but when they arrived they were much sturdier and more heavy-duty than I thought. I tapped 2 Maple trees with two Taps on each tree and got more than enough syrup for myself and even gave some away. All I needed was a drill to get into the tree. Came out with a hammer to pry with and will probably order more for next season.

> 3 dayExcellent taps, but hooks are too small and there is no way to accommodate a lid. I ended up zip tying the lids to the hooks, but next year I will have to look for another hook system as it is too small to hold the bucket safely. (one was knocked off and spilled about 1.5 gallons of sap)

> 3 dayI am quite impressed with the quality of this item. I am glad I decided to purchase these stainless steel type instead of the black plastic ones I was considering. These are obviously machined from thick walled stainless stock. There is a slight taper on the side intended to go into the tree. That side is approximately 1 1/2 (37mm) long. The side that receives the hose measures at exactly 1 (26mm) long. Please see the picture I attached to this review. We have two maple trees in our yard. This will be the first spring my sons and I have tried tapping and sugaring them. Looking forward to the sweet results!

> 3 dayA little pricey, but durable and worked perfectly. Just wish I had more than two days of running sap when I decided to use them.
