What can I say about the Stanbroil Universal 8” gas valve key? It successfully turned my gas on… and off. Brilliant! It’s long slender shaft is perfectly balanced and is surprisingly satisfying to hold in your hand. When used properly, it lands on the valve with an ear pleasing thud of metal to metal contact. And the larger portion that you grasp ever so gently between your thumb and index finger provides just the right amount of tactile feedback. It worked

We lost the key to the Hearthmaster L.L. valve for our gas fireplace. I got a 1/4 key but it was a little too small. This one fits fine (and would work with a 1/4 valve also). The valve on ours is shallow so even this shorter key sticks out a couple inches, same as the key we lost. The finish looks great but is just a finish.
