A lot more solid than other keys Ive had which have been brittle/bendy.

Ive had this 18 valve key for less than 2 years. It has been stored indoors and used only a few dozen times. The last time I used it, the key come out - and the end was missing! Its impossible to fish the detached end piece out of the fire pit, so now I have to tear the fire pit apart to get it out. It will be a major hassle and a significant expense, all because of a shoddy valve key.

The builder left a 3 inch key for a gas fireplace in our formal living room, a room that is rarely used. Because of a delayed painting issue in our family room where we normally put our holiday decorations, we decided to put the tree in the formal room. Lighting the fire might be nice, we thought. The key that has been sitting on the mantle for 14 years is way too short to turn on the gas. Amazon to the rescue! What can I say about the Stanbroil Universal 8” gas valve key? It successfully turned my gas on… and off. Brilliant!
