Greater than one weekThis is a well made cast aluminum gauge which provides 2 functions. You can gauge the angle for a miter cut or a single cut. The tool has 2 legs which open so they can be set against a work surface then you just simply read the red or black scale depending upon what you want to do. It is easy to use, very fast, and well made which is why I like to use this tool.

> 3 dayFinally, after more than forty years of professional woodworking, from cabinets to timber frame,I have a tool so simple and a concept so obvious that I could kick myself for not thinking of it thirty years ago myself.. The ProSite is a fool proof short cut to taking a reading with an angle divider, transferring it to a protractor or bevel gauge, setting the chop saw and then having to make at least one test cut before cutting a piece of trim.

> 3 dayIn a world of plastic everywhere plastic it’s nice to have a tool made old school that just “feels right” in your hands. A real pleasure to use!

> 3 dayHands down the best large protractor for finding angle that i have seen and used so far. Heavy duty construction, stiff adjustment so it stays there and a large dial that is easy to read

> 3 dayGood for cutting miter joints in base moldings when walls are not exactly 90 degrees. Does not quite work on very short walls/bump outs.

> 3 dayGood tool, solid feel to it. Scale could be a bit larger and is hard to read in poorly lighted areas. Other than that it does a fine job and is easy to use.

> 3 dayPriceless if youre finish carpenter, especially for crown molding. Knowing what degree precisely prior to cutting, and set you miter saw to the angle is NICE...

> 3 dayOverall, I like this tool a lot. Its solid, easy to use, and my label seems to be on straight because this tool is accurate. My only problem is that there are so many places I cant use it because of its length. I bought mine in 2004, before they came out with a shorter version. If you know youll be OK with the size, I think this is a good tool for the price.
