Greater than one weekI use this bronze wool to clean metal surfaces like tub, sink and shower faucets/fixtures. Sometimes Ill use it with CLR liquid to remove scale and lime. It also works well on dirty glass. The bronze is soft and forgiving unlike steel wool that can scratch delicate surfaces. My 2 cons are that this product is pricey and the pads are thin. But if you want a safe version of 00000 steel wool for delicate surfaces, this product will work well. Hope that helps! PS - Amazon wanted me to rate the warmth of this bronze wool. If I ever use it for insulation, Ill give you an update. (Im kidding - its a goofy feature for Amazon to ask to rate!)

> 3 dayThis is a super fine steel wool and is great for polishing and buffing metal. Pictured is one of my embalming tools (yes, I am a mortician) that was pitted and covered in rust, and it polished up beautifully with a medium grit sandpaper followed by a thorough polishing with this 0000 steel wool. I have also used it on several of my firearms that had some slight rust issues, and it took care of the problem with ease. A word of caution however, do not use this product without gloves or you will regret it. The one time I did, I ended up with fine slivers of steel embedded in my fingertips. Also, make sure to thoroughly clean whatever you use it on to remove the steel wool particles that will be left behind. Overall, great product and I will be buying it again.

> 3 dayLast winter apparently a whole herd of rats decided to make my shed the happening place. They broke in and stayed all winter by the looks of the place. They chewed so many holes that it could have been mistaken for a golf course. I bought this after finding it mentioned countless times in a Google search on how to keep them out of your house. I figured a shed is the same thing so I clicked. I put this in the holes and then used Loctite (you can find my review for that) and it has worked magic. Ive been in my shed many times this spring and summer and no evidence of rats or other nasties. The only thing I did to this is kind of pulled it apart and fluffed it up a little. You get a nice amount for the cost and it works. I just wish I knew about it sooner.
