Imagine a tactical flash light that blinks really fast and blinds you. Thats the rate at which these lights blink. Very fast on and off. Im not sure if its an issue with the built in photocell or not. I thought I was spending extra money to get a better quality product but I guess not. Also the box states that the bulbs will last like 10 years at a usage rate of 3 hours a day. So if you planning on using them as a constant on light that works off the built in photocell I suppose you will be replacing them every 2.5 years. I on the other hand will be replacing these a lot sooner.

Installed this in a spotlight base to light my flag. I am very happy with the dusk to dawn sensor and light output. I cant speak to longevity yet.

Great bulbs- bright, and on at dusk & off at dawn. Great alternative to replacing the fixture which is too high for a 78 year old guy. I can replace the bulbs from upstairs bathroom window.

I love the bulbs, they were easy to install they come on at night time and go off as daylight appears, I simply love them.The timer on my outside light stop working and when I read the comments on these light bulbs with the built in timer. I brought the bright beam because I needed it for security ,perfect. thanks to who every came up with the ideal of built in timer inside the light bulbs
