This was a mix of clear and clear blue, (imagine those rim videos where they get dipped into a solution to make an effect) but hands down, this Sunlu clear blue resin produced an amazing result. Ive used other translucent brands and typically end up with a foggy haze that takes some amount of post clean up, sanding at multiple grits and a polish to get some level of bare min clarity. This however was straight off the printer, a light alcohol spray rinse and scrub with a tooth brush and allowed it to dry in the garage for the afternoon before hitting it with a cure light for about 30 seconds on each side.. No special voodoo required, just a fantastic result with min effort.

Green is slightly darker then the photo image. Be away depending on printer exposure times will need to be increased. Also to much increase will result in a tumor growing on the base facing your results until you build enough layers to counter the refraction happening through the translucent. Overall alittle tricky to get perfect but once it’s dialed in and if you can afford to put your object right on the build plate it printed fine. If your looking for dimensional accuracy this might not be your choice but if it’s just an interesting object this green is incredible nice. I also mixed it with there translucent blue and a translucent red at on point with great success.

The resin works really well. I make small parts and they come out prefect. I have not had any issue with these products.

ODOR: Much better experience with this one. With the Comgrow, I could smell it once I started going upstairs to my 3D printer room. SUNLU has a very low odor, something similar to Phrozen or Siraya Tech. Every resin has a smell, and this one is lower on the spectrum of being too much. 7/10 STATS Density- 1.11-1.15g/cm3 Bending Strength- 40- 60Mpa Viscosity- 100-300cps Tensile Strength- 30-50Mpa Hardness- 72-88D Shelf Life- Not Given Elongation- 10.002 +/- 10% Body Shrinkage- 3-5% Wavelength- 405 UV Light Printability Okay, the color is closer to a white than grey, until you cure it, then its closer to grey, but still whiter than most greys Ive used. Once this resin was dialed in with the Cones, I was down to a 1.75 second per layer cure time. After printing some models, this was adjusted to a 1.8 seconds per layer just to make sure there was enough strength between layers to prevent any separations between layers. Details are crisp and clear. Supports slip off like a dream. 9/10 Curing Time For our testing, 8-9 minutes was our standard curing time in our Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus. After curing, the resin appeared and felt solid as if the model was cast in plastic. Smooth as butter. 9/10 Dimensional Accuracy and Shrinkage For this part, we ran the new RP tester from Phrozen. I was shocked to see that everything printed, even the tiny little hairs, though, if you have meat hooks like mine and arent careful, youll snap these off, which do so, so cleanly, youll think they didnt print at all. Dimensional Accuracy before printing was spot on when measuring with calipers. Shrinkage was well within my specifications. Larger posts on the RP tester seemed unaffected, while smaller posts were accurate within 0.03mm. 9/10 FINAL THOUGHTS This really surprised us. Going into these tests, I was hopeful, but was more than willing to just let the resins speak for themselves. This one is above and beyond way better than the Comgrow resin. Low odor, no dyes that dye your IPA, Shrinkage that tests better than some of the more expensive options out there, and a cost that doesnt break the bank. They seem to have a bundle deal on their website that pushes the cost down further. If you order 5 bottles, its $99, which takes the cost down to $19.80/bottle. What I ordered from Amazon appeared to be a round bottle. What I got was closer to a flat bottle akin to an oil bottle. This was fine and reduced the form factor on my shelf. Curious though, did Amazon send me the right bottle? A damn fine alternative to more expensive options. 8/10

Out of the 5 bottles I have gotten, one seemed to be a different formula with more flexible final prints, but slightly lower print quality. The others so far have produced results on par with Elegoo resin. Ill probably keep buying this as my resin of choice for every day prints, as long as I can get it on sale. If its close to the price of Elegoo resin Id just as soon get Elegoo resin. My printer is the Saturn 8k.

I started using Sunlu resin when it was relatively new on the market and I was impressed with the quality and the price. Ive been buying the 1kg grey standard resin. At the outset, I didnt need to change any exposure settings to get crisp detail and clean prints. LATELY though, I feel like the QC of the product has gone downhill quickly. Prints have been failing left, right, and center, on files Ive printed a dozen times before. Failures included failure to get good bed adhesion (yes, after leveling...), ODD failures such as the quality of the supports degrading and ripping in the middle of the supports, and peel cracks in the print where the exposed layer didnt adhere to the previously cured layers. Print detail quality is much softer when I *do* get a successful print, and it takes much longer to wash the print in IPA than it used to, even when using brand new clean IPA. And most tellingly, the IPA gets fouled a lot faster from heavy particulates. I think with some settings tweaking to increase per-layer exposure times this might be an okay resin, but when you have lots of pre-sliced models already on a drive and a cottage business to run, you dont want to waste your time going back to re-slice every single file with new settings. I just went back to my old standby resin. Its more expensive but without changing a single thing on my printer, the prints just started coming out beautifully again. I wish I could use Sunlu but until they address their quality issues (which, again, were GREAT when I started using them!) I just cant afford to waste time and money on failed prints.

I am new to resin printing, so I have tried several brands of resin trying to find which I like best. Out of the six different brands, SUNLU performed as well as any. The only issue I have is that there seemed to be more odor with SUNLU than with the others. I have my workspace ventilated well, but I can still tell when I use this brand. That being said I would definitely recommend SUNLU resin to anyone who asks. It prints well and after curing, the prints have good detail and are not brittle.
