Very much what I was expecting. I love the needle and the way it moves with the yarn.

Extremely unhappy when you order a crochet hook as a gift and it arrives bent in half. Not the impression I was trying to give off LINDA.

Crochet needles of this size are very limited. The notch that is cut out seems sharp to me and frays the yarn a little. As I worked with it on three different hats I found angles that wouldnt pull on the yarn, but my other hooks arent as finicky. Even for this large of a hook it is a pretty bulky yarn, which might have made it worse. All in all it got the job done and the hats turned out great.

Does not easily glide through the yarn.

Honestly I have never bought this brand of hook and ive been crocheting over 10 years. When I recieved this hook I took one look and was sure I would hate it. This hook works wonderfully. Can easily be maneuvered into tight spots of yarn and holds onto yarn tightly when needed without ripping it.

I have been crocheting for nearly 50 years and I usually purchase Boye crochet hooks.

There is a decided difference in using a Susan Bates hook compared to other brands. I can no longer sew with any other brand. They are the best.
