May be, that is how swaddle would be , but these are too long for our liking. It takes extra effort to tighten it perfectly.. We have switched to velcro swaddles already now most of the case.. My son is so in love with these blankets that he cannot go to sleep without one! Hes now 9 months & weve used them since the day he was born. Theyre very soft & very breathable! I now recommend these to every new mom & I buy them for shower gifts!! I also absolutely LOVE the size! I love how big they are! Perfect for swaddling, covering, or using to cover while breastfeeding. All around an AMAZING product!!!! Only this brand though!! Other brands are too rough. NOTE: these will feel a little rough at first. After you wash & dry, youll see the difference. The more you wash & dry them, the more youll fall in love!

I purchased these for my baby who was born in summer. I cannot recommend enough these. They served multi purpose. Thin and soft enough to swaddle in summer of California. They are so big can be used as cover up while nursing. I sometime wrap my baby with them if she is cold. They made of pure cotton. I absolutely love them.

I received one of these blankets in Amazons baby welcome box (the super cute hedgehog pattern) and loved it so much I bought this 4 pack. They are large, soft, stretchy, and swaddle really well. Sometimes they are a little too big for my newborn and it seems like theres 20 layers of blankets around her, but thats when Ill grab a clean one and swaddle her again and it solves the problem. These are a great material for making sure baby doesnt overheat. I prefer these blankets over the easy swaddle velcro types as Ive had bad experiences with those creeping up over babys mouth. These are perfect once you get the swaddle fold down, and there are nice instructions right on the blankets to help with that. The instructions tags are soft and in a spot where its easy to keep them from bugging baby. Love these!

These are way better than the Aden and Amy or whatever. They wash AMAZINGLY. I buy these every time I need to buy someone a baby present. They are lightweight and a perfect size. My 5 year old still cuddles with his at night. So you know they last forever haha.

My son is almost 3 and still loves these blankets. They’ve gone through many washes and they have held up great. They are my go to for baby shower gifting.

We’ve bought a few different muslin swaddles for our newborn and these are, by far, our favorite— the material washes well— very soft and light. No pilling at all. Size is generous so absolutely perfect for swaddling, especially those babies that like to try and break free from their swaddles like ours. :) Bought a second package and will be recommending these to new parents!
