Greater than one weekI rebuild fishing reels. Quick deburring gears and polishing tarnish off. Final buffing with fine abrasive brings the metals to jewelry shine.

> 3 dayI had wanted to use these to polish metal, but instead they just “cut” the metal rather than polish. They don’t last very long, so value for cost is low. I had no issue with mandrels as others seem to have, but most collets are somewhat flexible so I don’t understand this complaint. I would not buy again.

> 3 dayI love these wheels. The reviews who say they are crap probably do not know how to use the product correctly. Putting on the disc the correct way is key otherwise the did will be destroyed. It is also important to go through each step/coloured wheel when polishing . Used correctly these things are awesome! No tool last forever .

> 3 dayDescription shows that. Bristle disks can be stacked, Use as many disks as you can on the spindle as you need, and use them like a natural bristle brush. This is not so. Screw on mandrel is to short to stack multiple discs can only fit one disc.

Greater than one weekI only tried the finer grades, and they did a fine job. 1000 grit left a very fine scratch pattern, easily polished out with a felt wheel & rouge. The discs are delicate and any significant pressure will strip off the arms - wear eye protection. They are fragile (wish there were more durable fine abrasive wheels) but the best Ive tried.

> 3 dayThese are AMAZING. I’m a metalsmither and use these to sand and polish my jewelry. They’re a fantastic alternative to the pricey 3M radial discs. Every time this subject comes up in the smithing groups I recommend these, and now many others have tried them and rave over them too! There is no negative about them; they last a long time and work perfectly! Buy them, you’ll LOVE them!

> 3 dayI bought these to do some detail sanding around carved sections of an armoire, but I discovered very quickly that the get worn down to just the hub very quickly. Even the most coarse grade didnt last but about 5 minutes. If you need sanding wheels for very small projects, this may be for you, but I found I used almost all of them just to detain sand cove cut molding and carved sections.
