> 24 hourI installed this at the junction point of the feed manifold from my boiler to all the zones in my house, a direct replacement of a failed automatic bleed valve. This Taco 400-4 works like a charm. Upon refilling of the system, it immediately started hissing, which is good. Overall it took about 20 minutes to purge all the air out of the system. Very impressed. The material, construction and heft of this Taco 400-4 is quite good.

> 24 hourIm buying this for the second time in 5 years - to replace the original which lasted over 20 years. Same brand / same part number, but no longer made in the USA, hence the much shorter life.

> 24 hourThis valve was an exact replacement for our old, rusted, leaking one. Installation was not too tough, but be prepared for some squirting water! It works perfectly now.

> 24 hourIve tried Watts, coin vents, some other generic type, but this one has been the best. The knob on top feels functional, like a small turn does make a difference. On air vents like Watts, theres a lot of play in the knob and you dont get a good feel of how open it is. Also, with Watts Ive had water leaking out, and have never had that with Taco. I cant see myself buying any other vents than these. I took a star off because it was packaged horribly and arrived pretty crushed. My understanding is that the inner components, although not fragile, shouldnt be carelessly abused. There was no care in packaging at all. The Taco packaging was placed in an envelope when it absolutely needs a box for protection.

> 24 hourUsed Taco products before and are first quality. Valve was delivered with bent bleeder tab but that was from handling and delivery. Repaired it myself and all good. Needs to be shipped in a box and not a plastic bag AMAZON!

> 24 hourIve used several kinds of air vent in hydronic heating systems. Most dont pass the test of time; they get corroded or scaled up and either leak or wont vent but these guys keep working for years and year. These are the only kind Ill use.
