Ive used several kinds of air vent in hydronic heating systems. Most dont pass the test of time; they get corroded or scaled up and either leak or wont vent but these guys keep working for years and year. These are the only kind Ill use.

Fits and works well so far. Arrived very quickly to my surprise. The price is very reasonable.

still have air in my system and not sure how long it takes to help get it out.

Very high quality, heavy duty boiler vent. Simple install and performed much, much better than others I have tried in the past. There was a short period of air expelled quickly and then within 10 minutes all the sputtering stopped and all the air was expelled from the system. It seems that the other valve-type boiler vents would only last a couple of months before clogging and leaking again. This vent works under a somewhat different principle, using a float inside a closed chamber. I suspect this should last through this season and from my research it should also last for quite a few years. Keeping my fingers crossed.

This valve was an exact replacement for our old, rusted, leaking one. Installation was not too tough, but be prepared for some squirting water! It works perfectly now.

I have really bad water (chlorine), and I go through a lot of these. They plug up and/or fail quickly, and Ive had faulty ones right out of the box. I recommend the Watts FV-4M1. The Watts work better and last much longer, theyre just hard to find and cost a few bucks more.

Good product for removing air from hot water heating system. Durability may be an issue as sometimes they will stick and fail to remove air. But overall it work well and doesn’t let water spray out everywhere
