works as it should. Had to change ex tank and auto fill valve and in a short time air was out of system

I have really bad water (chlorine), and I go through a lot of these. They plug up and/or fail quickly, and Ive had faulty ones right out of the box. I recommend the Watts FV-4M1. The Watts work better and last much longer, theyre just hard to find and cost a few bucks more.

Replaced my Maid-O-Mist, that came with my house. It was old and crusty, and I would have to press the schrader valve to let the air out periodically. I havent heard any gurgling at all this fall from the pipes. I almost want to introduce air to the system to see what happens. So far so quiet...

Cant be beat for the money! This replaced the same exact valve used on my boiler, which lasted 15 years.

Solid construction, made of heavy metal, 2-3 years and hasn’t leaked or corroded as far as I can see. Although I have not attempted to open it up and tune/clean it, the option is there. But I have to say, banging noise in the heating system was reduced but not totally gone after installing the Taco 400 pressure valve. Still much better than my previous annual installs of Misty Maid brand vents which always leaked and corroded at the vent caps. Recommended.
