Taco 400-4 1/8-Inch-NPT Float Air Hy-Vent

I installed this at the junction point of the feed manifold from my boiler to all the zones in my house, a direct replacement of a failed automatic bleed valve. This Taco 400-4 works like a charm. Upon refilling of the system, it immediately started hissing, which is good. Overall it took about 20 minutes to purge all the air out of the system. Very impressed. The material, construction and heft of this Taco 400-4 is quite good.

It does what it is supposed to, have used this same model for a few years now without issue.

Replaced my Maid-O-Mist, that came with my house. It was old and crusty, and I would have to press the schrader valve to let the air out periodically. I havent heard any gurgling at all this fall from the pipes. I almost want to introduce air to the system to see what happens. So far so quiet...

Gave to plumber. Worked fine.

My home hot water heating system is 25 years old and the air vents green, crusty and plugged up solid. These Taco easily screwed right in and are working well.

I installed the vent in a low pressure in-floor heating system that has never been without air problems, including leaky vents.. This vent was perfect from the beginning and has been over the winter. When releasing the small air bubble, there is never a water leak. Excellent value for the money.
