Talon 22 Mens Hiking Backpack, Eclipse Grey, Large/X-Large

> 24 hourThis Talon 22 is a great size for day hikes, epic mountain bike rides, and even use as a personal item while flying. It is significantly bigger than my camelbak mule, so I can easily carry water, food, tools, spare tubes, and more for 5+ hour mountain bike rides. It also is plenty big enough for day hikes. The rigid back panel and harness comfortably and easily carries 25 lbs. Also, compared to my Statos 40, I definitely notice the lesser ventilation of the Talon 22. However, the Talon 22 works way better when I don’t need the space of the Stratos 40, especially when bringing it on a plane. I have some leg room when placing this backpack under the seat. The Stratos 40 was too big the one time I tried using it as my personal item. Last, as with all my Osprey backpacks, the quality and thoughtful features are excellent. This is a pack I know I will enjoy using for many years in lots of different activities.

> 24 hourThis is an awesome pack, but the fact that Osprey doesnt include a bladder with a hydration pack is absurd to me.

> 24 hourGreat pack from a great company. My only complaint is that both the sm/med and large/x-large are labeled the Talon 22. But the sm/med pack isnt 22 liters as the name implies. You have to buy the larger pack to get the size that the naming implies.

> 24 hourGood pack. Nice features. I use with a Vaucluse sweat guard so I cant speak for back comfort. It is fairly snug with the Vaucluse attached. Im 58, 190 lbs with wide shoulders, and it is pretty much at the limit of fit and comfort with the attachment. Only had it out a few times. Bought it for the large, well-supported bottle pouches. Summer is coming and well be using our 32oz Camelback insulated bottles. Have to see how it holds up to the strain...

> 24 hourAnother great product from Osprey. Super comfortable with great padded shoulder straps and a harness that stays in place, but still is easy to remove and adjust. Great location for the bladder as it is easily accessible. Tons of storage, with solid zippers that open and close perfectly. Only complaint is not including the bladder for the suggested retail.

> 24 hourI’ve been using a 50L GoLite Jam for longer day hikes because it has comfortable padded waist and shoulder straps. I bought a Talon 22 ML/XL to use on days when I’m carrying smaller loads. Most daypacks have unpadded waist belts and marginally padded shoulder straps that are uncomfortable for all day hiking.

> 24 hourI have used this in the mountains a few times now, and I love it. Its a great size and weight for day hikes. It has great pockets as well. The compartment for my water bladder was a bit hard to fit initially, but seems to have maybe loosened up a bit at this point. I think this has been a great purchase so far.
