I like the pack and its fairly comfortable. The hydration compartment is severely lacking however: its very narrow and the shoulder straps get in the way of loading it. My Aquamira bladder worked, but it was a huge challenge to get it in, and theres a flimsy sheet of plastic on the top of the pack that crumples under the weight of any water bladder other than Ospreys (which has a sheet of firm plastic in the bladder itself). Ospreys bladder is also narrower than any other bladder on the market, meaning you basically have to buy theirs to make it work correctly with this pack.

Like the hip belt which transfers weight off shoulders and serves a hand place to store trail mix and odds and ends. Have used on several long day hikes and have found very comfortable.

I have only used this a few times since purchasing, but overall right out of the box I am very impressed. The durability and storage in this bag is great for a day pack. Very stretchy, materials seem to hold up under a little stress, water resistance works well, it breathes and has pretty good back support for not being a full on frame pack. I would definitely purchase another for myself or my partner.

I love my new backpack! Ive had a variety of brands over the years but this is by far the most comfortable pack Ive used. Its very comfortable, and has plenty of adjustment to make it fit even better. Ive caught myself packing more than I normally ever would just because it is so comfortable to me. Plenty of room for anything me and my four legged hiking companion could ever need for a long day on the trail.

The Talon 22 is well made, comfortable, and versatile. Ive hiked with it a few times already, and it has become my all-time favorite backpack overall. However, it is lacking in one area -- there are very few zipper pockets inside the main compartment. If like myself, you prefer to keep things organized inside your backpack, perhaps carry a smaller bag with zippers inside the main compartment.

Not as comfortable as most of the reviews. Very cumbersome, drink bottles are hard to get in and out, unless your an octopus. Straps are irritating to use. Runs small. Trekking poles holder sucks and was broken. Not a good bag for a long day hike. Flatlanders will probably like it. I returned it for REIs traverse 32 and couldnt be happier. Same money, more room, easier to use. So many more options, much more comfortable and supportive, lighter, holds alot more gear sensibly, and well balanced. Drinks are a breeze to get in and out on the fly. Perfect backpack for scaling New Hampshires white mountains.

I bought this for my wife for hiking on an overseas trip. Once the fit is dialed in and you understand the features, it is amazing. I wish I had bought one for myself now.

I bought this backpack to hike Half Dome. Great investment. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
