> 3 dayVery well built with easy to use functions, I have been using TI calculators for over 25 years and now my son is using this model. Haven’t used a better calculator that is durable, easy to use and the quality of the screen is outstanding. Also when charging it the battery lasts for a pretty good time.

> 3 dayI already owned one of the SE (Silver Edition) models, but when I realized the CE model had more than septuple the amount of user accessible memory, I knew I had to order it. BUT ... I have been forced to reduce my rating of this calculator from five stars to four stars because TI has chosen to make some of the functionality harder to use, and as far as I can tell, one type of functionality is now impossible to find. If TI will tell me how to access the SHADES menu and the POINTS OF INTEREST menu that is part of the INEQUALITIES appplication on the 84 Plus C Silver Edition, I will bring my review back up to five stars. More on that further below. Many math teachers and professors allow the use of this calculator for examination purposes, so if your teacher allows one of the TI-83-84 family of calculators, this is just about your best choice for calculators allowed on many exams. In addition to having more memory, it is a thinner calculator (not as big a deal for me) and it is slightly faster. I wrote a program to calculate all the prime numbers from 2 to 997. On the older Silver Edition, the program took 993 seconds. On the newer CE model, the same program took 811 seconds. I thought there might have been a bigger speed difference, because the processor number in the specifications at education.ti.com make it look like the main chip is 3 times faster. All the commands appear to be so close to identical that if you have learned to use any of the earlier 83-84 models, you should be able to do things identically on this system, but be able to do more things. If you need a reference guidebook, you might get the
