It is like working with high end wool felt. Very nice to cut, keeps its shape. Very black.

This foundation material is easy to sew through, already colored black to minimize background show-through and is easy to cut.

In the past I have used Lacys Stiff Stuff as my beading foundation almost exclusively, so I was a little reluctant to try something different. That said, I really liked the fact that this product came already colored - no messy dyes or sharpies to deal with! - so I decided to give it a go. The Beadsmith foundation is indeed comparable, and so far I have encountered no problems with it. It isnt quite as stiff as Lacys is, but still provides a nice, solid base which is easy to work with, and supports heavy stones and beadwork quite well. I will definitely order again and hope to see more colors in future!

No dislikes. Sturdy and stuff. Perfect.

Its thicker stiff felt. This package was a good value, comparatively. I tried beading with regular felt. It could not maintain its shape as it was too thin. This is really nice as Im beginning. My first cab turned out fairly well.
