Greater than one weekLoved it. It ended on a cliff-hanger, so I cant wait to see the next one. Seriously. I literally can not wait. I have plans for a time machine. It would take $150,000 and 2 weeks to build. So if anyone can help me out with the money or helping to build it, Ill take you to the future with me to see the next one. And after that, we can go back and see the real Middle Earth.

> 3 dayThink of the best movie youve ever seen, along with the best special effects youve ever seen as well, and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Limited Edition Gift Set with Book Ends comes to mind. This movie is really good in DVD, but even better in 3-D, and the book ends are wonderful to look at. The movie itself isnt overly done but instead ads more to the book than some people might have thought, so be ready for a thrill ride even though it does have a strange ending. Peter Jackson is great as the director once again, but I think that this movie couldve been made sooner. On the whole, Ive given this movie a five star rating because of all the special effects and also for the story line. Buy this from Amazon.com as I did, and youll find yourself eagerly awaiting this gift set. Thank you.

> 3 dayI have loved having the images I had painted in my mind of all of the LOR stories presented in such grand fashion by Peter Jackson & his production crew.

> 3 dayThis movie managed to vere away from the book in ways that left me wondering why they made the story less comprehendable, adding characters for no reason, having hordes of orcs running thru a city with no one noticing, and various smaller things like Beorn... it still manages two stars as it wasnt absolutely terrible, it just shouldnt have carried the Hobbit name.

Greater than one weekI dont want to cut this film up too bad but I did read how it cost to make the film. I own around 1,500 movie dvds and in a broad comparison I rate this Hobbit to one in my collection I will not view very often if ever.
