Slow getting started, I loved the characters but the character development rushed. I watched to get entertainment not serious storyline and that it did provide. All the Quartermane movies every actor has been B rated pulp science fiction. This stayed in that tradition

This movie is one of my favorites! Im surprised it does so bad on rotten tomatoes. Its may be a bit hard to follow if you dont know any of the characters, but they are from classic novels so its pretty common knowledge and explained for those who dont know them. The characters are dynamic and the fight scenes are awesome, especially near the end. I bought it to show my friends who hadnt ever heard of it and they absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend it.

Combining a scattered cast of literary characters, League of Extraordinary Gentleman brings together Alexander Quartermain, Dr. Jekyll, Dorian Gray, Tom Sawyer, and several others to combat a burgeoning evil force: a man of modern science. With breathtaking physical effects, mixed with a tasteful CGI, this 90s classic stands the test of time well compared to modern graphics-heavy films. The plots arent overly complex, but neither are they predictable. I highly recommend watching the film

This was a movie that I fell in love with when it was first released to theaters. Its one of those movies that could definitely be called a guilty pleasure. Its loosly based on a graphic novel of the same name written by Alan Moore, who is also well known to have written V For Vendetta, The Watchmen, and From Hell, all of which were adapted into films. I really like the premise of the story by having these literary characters such as Alan Quatermain, Mina Harker, Captain Nemo, Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, The Invisible Man, Dr. Moriarty and Tom Sawyer, in a setting different from what they are known to lived in and having most of them join forces was a treat. We see one of Sean Connerys lesser roles here as Quatermain, but he adds his little bit of flair that only he can do. I recommend this if youre in the mood for a good entertaining popcorn flick!

Lots of good actors, but they arent given much scope for their talents. Lots of explosions and shooting, plenty of noise. But its a bit tedious to watch. Leaves you time to think about things like why does Tom Sawyer wear suspenders hanging down from his waist? Why wear them at all if you arent going to use them? Why do steampunk women always have their bosoms pushed up so it looks like they are serving them on a tray? Why did they show the Nautilus as big as a cruise ship in one scene, then show them sailing it right into a canal in Venice in another scene, much smaller?

The case and product are fine. As far as the movie is concerned, of course I love it or I wouldnt have bought it!
