> 3 dayI happen to be a detail enthusiast at this point in my life. I was a certified Meguiars detailer many years ago and was a big fan of their products. Times have definitely changed and detailing products have as well. I have 2 large poly bins full of the newest, hottest microfiber towels for the best names in the business. These dry me a river MF towels are certainly decent quality and do a decent job. Unfortunately they do not compare to my old, well maintained Meguiars drying towels. I can easily dry a midsize suv with a Meguiars drying towel, the dry me a river towels fell quite a bit short of that. I needed 2 towels to sufficiently dry the vehicle and both were soaked and not picking up water well at the end. I will say the quality is outstanding from the Rag Company’ microfiber towels, however the DMAR towel fell short of my expectations

03-06-2025I was very optimistic about this product, since I see it mentioned on detailing forums as being the best drying towel ever. Its been my experience that microfiber products werent very good for drying, but I use microfiber for just about every other detailing task so I thought that maybe I should give it a fair chance... I should have trusted my experience. I will admit, this thing absorbs a LOT of water... which makes its a big, heavy, sopping wet towel that just pushes water around instead of drying. Despite trying to wring it out, which is just about impossible due to its size and absorbency, it did nothing to dry my truck other than absorbing the big puddles of water on the hood and roof to distribute everywhere else I wiped. I finally went back to my old standby, a synthetic chamois called The Absorber, (also available here on Amazon). The Absorber works great, and Ive been using it for over 17 years. Not just using the product... using the SAME EXACT ONE for 17 years. Its just about indestructible. In all fairness, I was trying to use the Dry Me a River towel on a humid day, so evaporation wasnt really working in its favor. I could see how if one got most of the water off first using a blower or a squeegee then this towel might perform fine. But as a single-product solution, it falls short. And yes, I did follow instructions, washing it before use using a mild unscented detergent, and no fabric softeners.

> 3 daySo much better than a shammy. So absorbent. What a game changer to use a waffle weave towel to dry your car. Never going back!

> 3 dayI bought these to use on glass and mirrors. They seem to work pretty well. Make sure you use one for wiping the product and a second dry (no product) cloth for a second pass on windows and mirrors. Also, make sure you wash these before first use to avoid lint on your glass. The price was a bit more than other types of microfiber towels, but not too bad.
