I have to say that this new approach to CPU retention has been an amazing surprise. After reading reviews from some well-recognized testing & bench-marking experts, I decided to give it a try. Installation following the online video was simple. After installing the CPU cooler and running it under monitoring software at high-demand usage for several hours, I noticed a real drop in CPU temps!! I am sold!

Works as advertised definitely dropped temps byba few degrees only thig I wish I did not say Intel 12 gen on it not really needed and especially when your using it on a 13th gen

decided to rebuild my computer using a i7-12700k and from what i read and what all my builder friends told me, having this retainer is a must for the long term, as it helps mitigate temperature spikes and evens out the CPU to Cooler contact, allowing for an even heat distribution. Now, I’m not super computer savvy and I’ve only built 3 computers in my lifetime, but if I can install this easily, than anyone can.

Once I saw a video on this item, I decided to purchase one. It is as good, if not better than the name-brand one. Dont waste your money getting a name-brand one. This one does a great job keeping the CPU flat and has proper contact wth your cooling device.

Combined this plate with a very slight undervolt on my 13700k and now its maxes out around 85C as opposed to thermal throttling before. 100% these plates are essential for keeping new Intel cpu temps under control.

As per gamers nexus and jays two cents, this provided a better pressure distribution on my cpu. Low profile and more reliable than the stock bracket

Literally dropped temps by 20c just by adding this to my i5 12600k.

Well worth it.

Installed this on my Asus Maximus Z790 Hero with no problems. Used factory screws from motherboard and no issues. Make sure to tighten in criss cross pattern to make sure it tightens evenly and doesn’t bend. Highly recommend as this also lowered my CPU temps on my 13900k

I didn’t notice a change to my thermals, but it makes my install look cleaner
