I could not beat the price for this thermometer. I needed a thermometer for the house. It’s small in size and you can keep in a plastic case that comes with it.

I keep this in my travel toilette bag with my small first aid n meds and a Covid test. For the price the size is great - small for travel.

I read some of the negative comments; and empathize because sometimes I got a faulty product. But Ive used this thing several times now, and even once as I went to my doctors office and it was right on point. The thing I like best is that its only a 10 second wait, (I always wait 15 to be sure). I have tinnitus and cant usually hear those high pitched beeps on a lot of these things, but with this thing, its a snap, and I always got a good reading. I like it, and I would recommend it.

Temperature on mine appears to always be 1F degree higher than actual temp, so it perpetually says I have a fever of 99.6-ish or so, while other thermometers I used immediately after say Im 97.7-98.7-ish. Sometimes this thermostat will give two different readings of 1F different with consecutive use. Works as needed though for the price, because if it says 100F+ I definitely have a fever.

For the price its hard to find flaw in this. the temperature is accurate to as close as I can tell with a very hard to read mercury thermometer which is probably 30 years old or better, and trying to be rid of mercury products was the primary reason I decided to get this one. Its obviously a lot bulkier than the old style mercury thermometer. because of the LCD readout and battery compartment but it is still very light. The flexible tip seems alright but wasnt a selling point to me since Ive been used to a glass one for so long, but it does feel more comfortable since it is not so rigid. PROS: + Light weight in the mouth. + reading is faster than mercury thermometer. + comes with a protective case. CONS: - the button feels very mushy. it doesnt click, and it feels like you have to press it very deeply into the device for it to register. If you have large fingers or thumbs, the button is small enough and set flush enough that you may find it difficult to push the button in all the way to power it on/off

This thermometer does read really fast so they are accurate there. Beeps when reading is done. I am not sure about accuracy since that is difficult to determine. But for a cheap digital thermometer, it does the job. The numbers are a little difficult to read, but thats just because Im older and find small numbers hard to read. For the price, its about what I expect. I bought one after my daughter in law bought one each for her, my son, and my granddaughter.

    Only 7 seconds

10 seconds feels like an eternity after being used to 1 second(I dont like - find they read inconsistently) and 3 second(my preferred) digital thermometers. Seems to be easy to use, consistent in its results and was inexpensive. One curious thing I discovered is my older father, who has some high frequency hearing loss but still hears well enough that he doesnt need hearing aids to understand or function, cannot hear any of the beeps this thermometer makes. It has a single beep when turning on, and off both. Plus a Measurement Done multi-tone chime when its finished giving a reading. Its more beeping than seems necessary, but at least its a a moderate volume. Probably still loud enough to potentially wake someone else sleeping in the same room. For reference in a quiet house I can hear it down a 15 hallway from another room. But in the same room, the beeps are mostly hidden by a reasonable listening volume TV. It does beeping slightly less, and at a lesser volume than the Vicks thermometer I tend to use - which beeps every time you press any button.
