My son is using this as his backpack for high school. They don’t have/use lockers any more so this is a great way to have a comfortable pack with lots of places to zip in all the things you need throughout the day-it also has a nice place to slide his laptop

This is seriously the nicest backpack I have ever owned. You pay for what you get: solid construction, durability, great fabrics and materials, strong zippers, roominess, and pockets. The straps I would say are more durable than soft. They are still comfortable. If youre looking for a strong hiking/traveling pack, this is definitely worth it!

Thule product reference isn’t updated to show current fit. This bag will fit a MacBook Pro 16 even with a full cover, there’s plenty of room to move it in and out of the side access without struggle. Very nice bag.

The Thule Chasm Backpack is an incredible bag for travel and also day to day use. Its got a sleek and sophisticated look that goes from work to weekend. There are tons of different compartments and pockets to help keep me organized, but the thing I love the most about this bag is that the laptop compartment can be accessed from inside the bag, or from outside. Every other backpack Ive owned in the past has required me to open up the entire thing in order to get my computer out. With this one, its so easy to pop it out the side without opening up the entire thing and exposing all my contents. Thats particularly useful in the airport security line. This bag is large and spacious, and I love the water resistant exterior. Like another reviewer had mentioned, it does have widely spaced shoulder straps. However, there is an adjustable chest strap between them that helps keep them securely fastened together so they dont slip off my shoulders, and that gives me a feeling of security and comfort while wearing this backpack. Overall, this is an incredible bag that is well-constructed and I expect it to last me for years to come. My husband has already tried to steal it from me since he also likes it so much!

Thules Chasm Backpack is made from a mixture of woven and rubberized fabrics. The backpack is very well made and feels substantial and robust. Its also very nicely made with good attention to detail, smooth zippers, and a well trimmed interior. The backpack has a large and deep main compartment. It has a padded sleeve in the back of the main compartment that fits my 15 MacBook Pro or 10 iPad Pro well. You can also access the padded sleeve from the side of the backpack when you need to retrieve your electronics quickly. On the front of the backpack are two additional compartments. One is small and lined with a soft fleece. The other is deep and contains multiple pockets and pouches. I used the backpack for a week-long vacation to take my toiletries, large Bluetooth speaker, iPad, Kindle, chargers, car keys, electric shaver, and a change of clothes. All of the items fit well and were easy to organize and find when I needed to. The Thule is easy and comfortable to carry on your back. The straps and rear of the backpack are nicely padded and there is a strap that goes across your chest for added support and stability. There is a carry handle on the top and side. All in all... a great backpack.

Very well designed backpack which keeps load on the shoulders minimal, and is full of useful storage compartments for one to stay organized.

Love it overall. Hoping zippers glide better after using it for a while. Doesn’t hold as much as i was hoping but great for big laptop. Love the orange color. Plenty of space for tech stuff. Also. All zippers can line up so u can put just one lock through and secure all the compartments with one lock. Cool for traveling. I have two matching orange duffel bags that also turn into back pack that are also great.

This is a nice backpack, comfortable for casual use. Its good if you need a laptop sleeve. If you dont, get another model since the laptop sleeve gets in the way for other stuff. Note this does NOT mount on another bag. They dont claim they do, but we assumed it was the case.

I will admit Im a bit of a Thule fan girl. I really like their products and dont mind the premium price for premium goods. This backpack is good in the construction. I would like more padding on the shoulder straps. For some reason this backpack feels like it pulls back and down, I dont know if its a problem anyone else would have or my narrow shoulders but it feels somewhat awkward. there is a thin strap in front with a closure that gives an added feel of security. The construction of the pack is top notch and their is ample storage.
