Thule Load Straps for Roof Mount Racks

Greater than one weekThese cinch-down straps are superior to the ones sold at big box hardware stores. Thule makes outstanding racks, and these straps share the quality. These straps are clearly stronger and sturdier than the inexpensive store-bought straps. A rubber sleeve slides over the buckle to prevent scratching boat or vehicle. There was even a happy surprise: I always secure tag ends of tie down straps to prevent the tag ends flapping in the wind and scratching the vehicle, but cheap store-bought strap tag ends sometimes work loose and flap despite my efforts. These thicker, sturdier Thule straps do not work loose and flap. Also, cheaper hardware store straps eventually fray, these Thule straps appear to be longer lived.

> 3 dayLove them. Easy to use and they work well. I HATE rachet straps and screw them up all the time. These straps are a no brainer, thats what I need. I bought the extra set for my Thule Stacker 830 for the other side and Im very glad I did.

29-11-2024Incredibly easy to use. Bought two sets of these to strap kayaks onto J-Cradles. Perfect length, and the buckle covers are a nice touch. My only concern is their longevity. Weve used them four times now and have a distinct light mark across where theyve been tightened to. The teeth on the buckle are pretty sharp, so Im not sure if theyll keep the integrity of the straps intact for more than a few seasons. Time will tell, I suppose.
