The umbrella opens quickly and with authority, Ive been using this every day on my walk to work in Portland, OR. Its wide and light compared to other similarly-sized umbrellas. Ive not had the wind take it inside-out yet, but the composite struts seem like they wouldnt be that affected by it. The umbrella did arrive damaged with a slightly bent tip and a hairline crack on the handle. not enough for make it worth returning but certainly disappointing.

Very satisfied with this umbrella. Ive gone through many collapsible umbrellas, they are always falling apart. This non-collapsible umbrella is sturdy and durable.
