Some back story. I broke my ankle and had to be in a cast for 2 months. With my first cast I used the usual trash bag and tape. I thought I had done it up well enough. Nope... water soaked all inside my cast. When I went the to have it replaced I was told about cast covers on Amazon. Being extremely OCD I had to research every cover. I notice that most said these ran tight. But they did the job. Here is my review. This last the WHOLE time. I of course was paranoid every time I took a shower that maybe my cast had poked pin holes. It does feel so odd. But every time my cast was dry. It was tight but it has to be thats how it keeps the water out. If it was loose it wouldnt work. The tightness made it difficult to get on but again, totally worth it. Some advice, dry the ring completely before removing the cover. And carefully hang to dry. Have someone help you put it on, if you can. And go slow. If you have to keep your foot/ leg dry this will be the best investment worth every penny.

I purchased this product after having surgery on my foot for multiple fractures. It works perfectly, keeps your wound/dressing/cast completely dry in the shower. No moisture whatsoever.

This thing works really good - very affordable and does a wonderful job. I enjoy long hot showers and this cast cover works really well. the top rubber ring really seals the water from dripping into the boot and keeps my leg really dry; totally recommend it.

I bought this for my husband who sustained a compound fracture of his right ankle. Moral to this story...stay off ladders and let a tree service do the work. But the plastic leg boot works well

UPDATE 4/19/23: upgraded to 5 stars because it definitely works!! Personally when I use it, I wrap my ankle and foot in a plastic grocery bag and then put the shower bag on. It helps ensure it remains dry (though I have had no leakage issues) and also makes it easier to put on and take off for me. I figured out how to use it after finally reading the instructions lol, and the suction is pretty darn tight. Make sure when using you pull the bag above your cast (it stretches if need be because yes it is tight out of the box as it is supposed to be tight to suction), and then once you have a good spot you push the blue ring down. It creates like a little bowl where the water will sit and keeps the water out of the bag. Be careful when removing the shower bag! (This is also why I use a plastic bag before I put the shower bag on, because any water that may drip from the exterior of the bag when removing catches the plastic bag and not my cast. I just make sure to dry the shower bag as much as possible before pulling it off though and I don’t have that problem. 4/13/23: I only rated 4 instead of 5 because I haven’t used it yet to know if it works 100%.. but so far so good. I appreciate the ease of getting the product on over my injured ankle. I also love the suction to your leg, so I have faith that it will keep my cast dry as long as used correctly. In the pictures the suction band will look tight, but I have thicker legs and thighs so it’s no fault to the product; I just wanted to show the suction.

My husband had foot surgery and we used this several times. Never got a drop of water on his surgery. Perfect
