Weve been searching for the potty training seat for our toys and really want to live this ladder seat b/c it allows them to climb up and use the toilet themselves. However, there are a couple design flaws make me have to return it. 1. This seat is not steady for LO to climb up. Every time when my son tried to climb up, he ended up moving the seat around. Its quite dangerous. 2. The ladder is bit narrow. So just imagine your LOs have to climb up facing the toilet, then they have to somehow turn their faces away from the toilet and pulled down their pants while standing on a wobbly ladder. NO, NO, NO 3. The pee guard doesnt work well for boys. 4. This one might not apply to everyone. But if your LO has skinny butt like my 2yr old, then this seat is too big for them.

This works fine for us. My daughter has to be cautious when climbing up and turning around because the toilet bowl sticks out over the step. She started using this at 23 months. The seat moves very easily, but its not much of a problem. Somehow we managed to get water in the legs (probably from the bathtub), which caused a bad chemical smell, but it was easy to take apart and clean.

Simple to clean and to put together, kids keep playing with it and cleaning it for me so I guess its fun for them haha.

After 3 kids and a very long 12 years, we were finally going to potty train our last child. I’m already planning our trip to Europe because hallelujah!! He turned 3 and figured he was ready. We bought TWO potty chairs! We did all the stickers, charts, toys, treats, incentives you could think of. NOTHING worked! I heard it all. Don’t even come at me with your advice. Remember this is my 3rd kid. I’m slightly seasoned, with a little herbed butter round the middle. I gave up. I’m losing steam (send help). My body is breaking and I decided to put him back in the dreaded pull-ups! We kept trying to encourage but he wanted nothing of it for a YEAR! A year you guys. For his 4th birthday I was ready To come out from under my soccer van than I ran myself over with, and tackle the training again. I bought this potty chair. The 3rd one! Maybe just maybe he will love this one. Fingers crossed. I can say that he is FINALLY trained! Still took him 2 whole weeks! But he’s done it and now wants to show me his display of errrmm leftovers every single time! I wish I had this seat the whole time. It saved my kids from having to go without a mother cuz I was about to hitchhike to TJ and call it a day. Thank you to whoever invented the thing.

I searched for several days to find a training potty with steps that I felt were safe. All of my local stores were sold out or did not have the version of the training potty I was looking for in stock. I ordered this one because, overall, it looked great, and Amazon offered same-day delivery. Let me tell you, this potty exceeds expectations. My toddler is 3 and was showing interest in using the big potty vs his small training potty. He can easily and safely climb up the potty. I love the backrest as well! We have a small circle toilet and it fits just fine. The best part is that our toddler calls this his potty bear and is excited to use it. As for the pictures of the potty being delivered used or covered in hair, this was not my experience. Everything was brand new in a sealed bag, with easy instructions for building. I think it took me about 10 minutes to put it together.

This seat was perfect to encourage my son to use the potty. (those big toilets are intimidating!) It was super easy for him to climb up and down on his own and he was very encouraged to go to the bathroom. The issue was the pee Guard between the legs is too short and if we dont help my son point it down he shoots over the guard.

My daughter fell off trying to get down. She said the seat is too sticky. But its way easier than being on the big seat.

This was literally the 4th potty seat we tried, and it will be the last. It is perfect! I agree, the directions suck, but my husband is good at putting stuff together so this did not present a problem for us. It fits great on our toilet with the toilet seat up or down. Our son literally did not want to get off it when he first used it. He was so happy to be comfortable and get to be a big boy on the potty. We do not use the cushion with it as I could see that getting yucky, but my son seems comfortable enough on just the plastic part. I think if he was on the cushion the pee shield might not work as well. Without the cushion, it is great! It’s very stable and sturdy. It easily folds and leans against the wall when an adult needs to access the toilet. I’ve already recommended it to friends with children younger than mine who will begin potty training soon. I would really love to thank whoever came up with this! You made a frustrated potty training mama happy!
