totes Automatic Open Close Compact Foldable Travel Umbrella

I moved from a Landsend briefcase to a backpack. No loops for an umbrella in backpack, so I was looking for small collapsed size. Fits the bill - press button to open, press button to collapse (collapse requires some additional manual collapsing.

I havent had a chance to use this umbrella in the rain but it appears to open and close as indicated. It takes a little squeezing to get the umbrella back into the bag, but it is doable. The size is right to carry in a back pack for my future travels.

I havent used it yet, but it is exactly what I need.

VERY compact, solid. Have used this only 4 times but love the auto retract function - great when your hands are full or youre getting into a car. Took it on a business trip to Des Moines. Im a minimalist and usually dont pack an umbrella, but I knew it would be storming and this was small enough to fit vertically next to my laptop in my computer bag - IN the laptop compartment - so I had no excuses for not bringing it. Fits perfectly in most medium purses/bags, feels solid in the hand.

I bought this umbrella to carry with me in my laptop bag. The umbrella opens and folds easily. It opens up large enough for a person to fit under it in the rain. It folds into such a small package that it fits in my coat pocket.

COMPACT AND SUITABLE TO FIT IN A JACKET POCKET. BUT: I USED IT ABOUT 5 TIMES AND THE BOTTOM WRIST-STRAP AND BASE POPPED OFF. AN INTERNAL PLASTIC PIECE BROKE. Now I have to pay to ship it back to Totes for a replacement, and Include $5 for them to ship it to me! Obviously, I am not happy.

The Raines Automatic Compact Umbrella was small enough to fit into a pouch on my purse it was readily available for my trip to the British Isles. Also easily able to refold when I got inside.

Good, quality umbrella. East to open. Just a tiny bit hard to tie it closed so it look like it did when it came. Not a big issue--and it may just me being klutzy.

The umbrella is nice and small, but still a little heavy for its size. The first time I used it, the wind did get under it and blew it upwards. It has a nice open and close one touch feature button. It is not easy to find an umbrella with all the features. This one worked fine i guess.

Keeps rain off my head. Works as promised.
