Ive carried Totes umbrellas for decades, and after mine was stolen, I decided to try this reverse folding umbrella. Likes: 1. The auto open/close feature is something Ive had for many years, but the reverse folding feature is a really great addition. 2. Im not normally a flowers-type of person, but this is really pretty, and its just right for carrying in the spring and summer. 3. Totes has a lifetime warranty, which, over the years, Ive used. They charge a nominal fee for replacement, and, in general, they usually send a new one. It might not always be the same color and pattern, but Ive always been happy with what they sent. This review is based on my very limited experience with this so far. So, if I start having any problems with it, Ill update. However, Totes is the only brand Ill buy because of their quality and because they stand by their lifetime guarantee.

This umbrella is well made, and a good size for most rain showers. I love the beautiful fabric as well.

Unlike the other brand of inverted umbrella, this one has only one layer of fabric, it is not as dry as the other brand when you fold it, even though only the underside of the fabric is exposed, it is an underside of the wet fabric. But this umbrella is more robust and it feels like it will last longer. It opens up and closes with a touch of a button, but you need to press in to fold the main shaft yourself when closing it for the mechanism to open the umbrella next time - but I think it is standard design for it as you prime the opening spring when you do it. I love the flowery print.

totes InBrella Reverse Folding Umbrella - Inverted Design, Auto Open/Close What a magnificent design idea this is! The umbrella opens AND closes automatically, with the push of a button!! My mother suffers from rather severe arthritis and has difficulty with the manipulation required to close her umbrella. This is a perfect solution for her. The mechanism is very smooth - although it is startling in its quickness the first couple times you use it, so do be aware of that. It is brilliant that it inverts when closing, so you dont spray water all over yourself while it is coming together again. The design is really lovely - the flowers are bright and cheerful and definitely make rainy days a little less gloomy!

This is a good umbrella. It opens and closes with ease and, most importantly, shields me from water. No complaints.

I brought this item for my mom, she liked the pattern. When we took it out of the wrapping and pushed on the button, it opened and clicked again it closed. HOWEVER, when I tried to compact it, the umbrella wouldnt lock in place and kept wanting to spring forward. It also will not open again either manually. DONT BUY!

Perfect gift

I’ve always been a fan of totes umbrellas because they’re well made and made to last. This reverse folding umbrella is not any different. The housing feels solid and strong. The fabric is thick and smooth. The button works well for opening/closing. This umbrella is about medium weight at 13.65 ounces. It’s great size for your large purse/backpack. Good for the occasional rain showers. Love the blue sky print, it’s a joy looking at it. A bit pricey at $30.
