Totes Kids Bubble Umbrella, Dots

I walk on a college campus in a city that often gets rain/snow along with high winds. Normal umbrellas blow inside out, propel me in the direction of the wind, break altogether, and often leave me wishing for a poncho. Then, one day, I saw a fellow student walking with this magical bubble umbrella. I ran back to my apartment to order one for myself. I looked at the measurements for the adult sized one. It was too big to fit in my locker and inconvenient to carry around campus, so I decided to get the kids sized one instead. The kids sized bubble umbrella protects me AND my backpack (in which I carry a binder, laptop, and lunch) from the rain. No more embarrassment and no more soaked clothes. Some of the other reviewers complained that the umbrella stuck to itself and ripped while opening. I would have to agree. It does stick to itself a bit, but if you open it slowly, you should have no problems. If the stickiness gets really bad, just sprinkle a bit of corn starch on it. Overall, its a great umbrella and I am really happy with my purchase.

The iridescent umbrella is just gorgeous! Not sure it will hold up forever to kids/wear and tear, but for now anyway it works beautifully and looks amazing! I especially appreciate the slide-down closure versus the pinchy kind I had as a kid

Bought this for my 6 year old to use when we walk to school. It’s easy for her to open and close it. I love that it encloses her in a little “bubble” and because of the shape, I’m not afraid that she’ll accidentally stab me or anyone else in the eyes. Feels very sturdy. I hope it lasts long.

I bought two of these, one for a 7 yr old and one for a 2.5 yr old. Positives: They seem pretty durable (time will tell). I like how they cover their whole upper body but they can still see when they walk. Both kids can hold it above their head with no trouble at all. I got the polka dots b/c it was cute and gave them a little privacy if they wanted it. Negatives: My oldest has a hard time opening it, it takes a little bit of a push. She can do it but I have to tell her to be forceful. She and I both have pinched our fingers a few time closing it. Again it takes a bit of a strong pull, and if you get your finger in the wrong spot while doing it, you get a little pinch. She is practicing. Finally, b/c of the plasticy material can get a little stuck together, my daughter has a difficult time wrapping it all closed and snapping it. I wish that closure piece was a slight bit longer to make it easier for kids. Mine did not have the powder that other reviews have mentioned. They came clean and nicely packaged. Overall a good purchase. I think I want one for myself as this see-through design seems to make more sense than a regular umbrella, however I do prefer to have a more collapsible umbrella for carrying around so Ill see how these last first.

We used this at Halloween for my daughter when she wanted to be a jellyfish (see Pinterest!). She used battery powered mini LED lights and iridescent curling ribbon. Turned out super cute!

I was a little hesitant about purchasing this for my 4 year old after reading some reviews but I am so glad I decided to purchase! My daughter is able to open and close it on her own, it’s super sturdy and super cute! We always get compliments on it!

My daughter loved her new umbrella

I gave this as a present to my 2.5 year old daughter and she is obsessed with it. She has opened and closed it about every 20 seconds for the last hour and it works great. It is small and light enough that its easy for her to maneuver but is deep enough that it keeps her dry. We are buying another one for when it inevitably gets destroyed from too much love. Plus, it makes for adorable pictures.
