TradMall Travel Umbrella Windproof with 46/56 Inches Large Canopy 10 Reinforced Fiberglass Ribs Ergonomic Handle Auto Open & Close

It’s odd that I would be writing about an umbrella but having lived in the UK for years and going through dozens of umbrellas in my time, I feel like I can appreciate the finer points of a familiar device. What I love the most about this new compact umbrella are three features: firstly it is stronger than most and stands up to stronger wind since it has more ribs, secondly the handle is more ergonomic than most and easy to hold but the game changer is the way it closes! You push the button to open it as normal but you also push the button (hard) to close it too! No more pinched fingers!

After having this umbrella for one year, I did not use it too much but it starts leaking from the fabric.

Not good the button keep sticking and umbrella can’t open so I just throw it away

Its a new one for me, but this umbrella started rusting at the metal joints and stained the canopy. Not a super big deal, but this is certainly not an almost 5 start umbrella.

Its a really nice looking umbrella, but its not as compact as it seems in the photos. Its sturdy enough & easily opens/closes.

EDIT 02/18/2019 I added one star to my review given that TradMall sent me several emails offering a free of cost replacement, even when I had already bought a different umbrella. I stand by my words saying this is not a truly windproof umbrella, but it serves its purpose if you dont live in Boston or somewhere very windy. And again, TradMall went the extra mile by replacing it, even after I said I didnt need one anymore. Im a typical Sort by Avg. Customer Review user, and in this case it just didnt work. Umbrella seemed fine when it arrived, but flipped three times on the first day of use (it was windy, but really nothing drastic). Thought it mightve been too much wind and I was expecting too much of it, so I used it a couple of more times. Worked fine without wind, but on the third use (windy again), it kept flipping. Didnt expect an amazing umbrella for this price, but this is certainly NOT windproof. I am returning it and doing some more research for a better one.

I loved that you pushed a button to open AND CLOSE this umbrella. However, to get it fully shut, it took a little bit a muscle. Muscle that I have, but maybe somebody else wouldn’t. I kid you not, the second I pulled the package in from my porch, it started raining. Which was really ironic because I had ordered an umbrella! So I took that opportunity to go out and shop, just so I could use it walking outside in the rain. Surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend.

Idk of this happened to others, but after about a month of use the open button, which would make the whole umbrella open, didn’t open about 25%, where basically you would have to manually open it halfway up after pressing the button. If you’re looking to use it in a sunny day, this ain’t it, especially in lighter colors like pink, what I got, but for rain it’s pretty good Update 2 years later: The button is completely unsuable. It won’t press at all and won’t open without the button, so it’s basically become unusable now and I had to buy another one

Edited: Open and close button broke the first time I used the umbrella! After that, it would stay open unless I closed it by hand and tied it up quickly. I contacted customer service and they were great! They sent me a new one, I’ve had it for over a year and I haven’t had any issues with it.

I bought this umbrella a year ago (10/2019) and really liked it. But a week or so ago, I contacted customer service because it stopped opening/closing properly. They have a lifetime guarantee, so I reached out to them and in no time at all, I had a brand new umbrella! No hassles, no shipping the old one back to them, nothing. Just awesome customer service. Highly recommend! NOTE: I broke mine (my fault this time) in May 2023. Did not hesitate to purchase again. Really great product!
