I had no idea that not all umbrellas could properly protect you from the sun. I have to walk to my job and when I began I had a regular ole rainy-day umbrella and I eventually realized that the sun was slicing right through it. No matter what angle I held the umbrella at I ended up getting hot and sweating.

Used it here in Hawaii where temperatures were up to 90degrees. It does exactly how it was described- 15degrees cooler than direct sunlight. Very satisfied with this product. Very sturdy & easy to handle & fold away.

After years of recess duty this is the only thing I’ve used that really keeps the sun off! Wish I would have had it 40 years ago!

Very well package, seemingly well constructed product. Has embroidered logo on both the case & the umbrella itself. The addition of a shoulder strap to the case is nice because it’s definitely got some weight to it for a “travel” umbrella. It weighs more than twice as much as my standard travel umbrellas, and is bulkier both length and width wise. I did not find it any harder to open and close than any other umbrellas I’ve had, both functions were smooth. As far as shade and sun protection - I tried it out in the Phoenix sun on a 110 degree day in July and it does help, but I would say that making it 15 degrees cooler underneath is an exaggeration. It did seem more effective at absorbing/reflecting the baking heat than my standard umbrella that I was using for comparison, but for the $50 price tag - I should hope so, not as much difference as I’d expected though. I hope it holds up well over time to justify the price tag, because there were more affordable options, but seemed like they may be less durable from reviews.

I took this umbrella on a trip to Miami. It was very windy, and it held up very well. Im very happy with this purchase.
