Handy tester and cheap enough to just use as a branch circuit pilot light. I use one in each of my greenhouses and at night I can see the LEDs from the house to confirm that power is still on for the electric heaters after the lights go off.

Includes 1x and 10x inductive current monitor loops built in. What I really wanted. 4 time larger than the standard GFCI tester.

I have a Kline and Southwire clamp meter and they both fit. Used it today to show a resident his vaccum cleaner is pulling to many AMPS.

It Works Perfectly when testing with my Clamp Meter to show the Proper Amperage of the items plugged into it!

Does what it was intended to do. It is a must have over standard testers.

Identified an open Ground on one of my outlets. Remember if you are going to measure AC Current that you will need a Clamp-On Ammeter.

This is one of the durable standards for this type of tester.

This appears to be substantially the same as several similar units I have or have used. The new thing (to me) is the GFCI testing button. If its not apparent from the picture, the thing that looks like a guard around the GFCI testing button isnt. Im not really sure why its there at all; the button protrudes a few millimeters and takes very little force to depress. So far, Ive successfully tripped a known working in-wall GFCI... and proved to my satisfaction that a GFCI-protected extension cord I bought for cheap from Wal-Mart is probably unsafe / defective(?). (If the GFCI light comes on, probably even for a moment, while connected to a GFCI-protected circuit, its probably time to get a better GFCI. In the case of the extension cord, the GFCI light stayed a bright, solid, ominous red for as long as I cared to hold the button down.) I dont have any out-of-code outlets or appliances Im aware of, so theres a slight question mark about the other functions; it does light the completely correct pattern for all of my known-good outlets, extension cords, etc.

just plug in and clamp on your clamp meter. 10X helps for small currents
