If your looking for a cheap good plug tester, this works great. It is a simple device and there isnt much to it, but mine has taken a beating over the past week an it works great, even after 15ft falls.

Well, it’s super tough to get a heirloom quality tool these days, so don’t expect that. But this essential tool works well enough. 4 stars for accuracy. Both the 1X and 10X slots should read the same (decimal point should just be moved over 1 place), but they are 3/10ths of an amp off from each other at 12 amps. That’s not too bad, but it’s not what it should be.

I assume it is accurate on the 1 times but the 10 times is more like 11 or 12 times. Which seems odd. I am pretty sure all they needed to do was loop (or coil) the wire 10 times so that the meter would read 10x the electrons flowing by.

A replacement for an older Triplett meter. Works okay with an old analog Triplett meter.

I have KAIWEETS small and large clamp amp meter, both fit very easily into the 1X hole on the Triplett line splitter and receptacle tester. I dont understand a other reviewer claiming problem. Handy having both tools in one. Solid construction. Dont feel like opening it up to check quality of connections but the plug seems good. Works.
