> 3 dayThis has a relatively high energy absorbing capability when compared to other surge suppressors. We use them for protecting the LADEE and MAVEN spacecraft simulators. I just had to have one for my home theater system. The two front outlets are perfect for plugging in accessories like my laptop or charging my MP3 player.

> 3 dayDesign wise I really like this unit. My biggest issue is that the plugs do no seem secure at all in the chassis. If you pull and dont pay attention, the plug itself moves a lot in its hole and one pulled out a good 1/4. I get its not a $400 PDU, but I wish the plugs were connected a little more solid. This is used in a lab where I move things around quite a bit, so it was a long term worry for me. Its more like 3.5 stars but I can only do whole numbers in the review.

> 3 dayThe small screws that hold the mounting ears in place are not easy to remove -- I cant. I have tried every screw driver in both a Wiha precision set and in a Craftsman complete screwdriver set. The issue is that (a) the screws are in very tight, and (b) the hole on the screw head is too shallow. Standard Phillips and Flathead screw drivers are not able to get a bite to remove the screw. This may be a great product if you want regular rack mounting. But I purchased this specifically because the rack ears can be rotated (except they cant).

> 3 dayPurchased this for a gator case that houses my outside theater electronics... didnt need 14 outlets but purchased based on the surge protection, cord length, lighting and price. Easily installed but does not come with screws. Certainly seems heavy duty by the weight... Looks good in my case, cant speak to the surge protection quality and hope I never have to... would recommend it to a friend
