Tulip One-Step 5 Color Tie-Dye Kits Ultimate, 1.5oz

This was so fun to do with my son. When he quit I was still out looking for more things to color. Haha we used half the kit and made 6 shirts. Our shirts were pre washed, I Wrapped in plastic and they sit for 2 days bc I was busy, I rinsed each shirt with warm water until no color ran in the sink and then washed on warm. They all kept their color!!

I wanted to make 3 shirts with this and even bought two extra colors to make sure I would have enough color. The bottles were so tiny that if I wanted a full color shirt I would have had to use all of it on one shirt. The color is very bright but there was a lot of white still showing through. The mix was really hard to actually get mixed and it kept clogging up the end of the bottle.

Overall I think tulip dyes work pretty well, but some of the colors (deep red, deep blue, lime) seem to wash out completely or almost completely. And definitely wash on cold! I made the mistake of washing on warm and my projects faded a wee bit too much for my liking.

I overall enjoyed this product but my shirts lost a little more pigment than I had hoped. I followed the included instructions and let the shirts sit wrapped in plastic for over 24 hours. I noticed some other reviews seemed to have more vibrant colors so it might have been the material of the shirts I chose. Overall a good product.

This was great for a tie dye birthday party! We’ve washed several times since the party and the shirts remain bright!!

This was messy, but fun and the colorful dye really adhered to our cotton tee-shirts. I was happy that an extra pouch of dye powder was included for each color because we went through all of it. We Tie-dyed 10 regular sized tee-shirts and 2 pairs of underwear (hee-hee!). Everything you need is included - several pairs of plastic gloves and lots of rubber bands. The included instructions were very good and I really needed them since this was the first time Ive ever tie-dyed. I saved the plastic bottles because I thought I could just buy more powder and re-use the bottles but apparently just the powder alone is not for sale. Now we have some really cool tees (and drawers lol!)

Glad we did them outside because the bottles leak. We were able to do 5 shirts, two adults, one kid be two toddler, with the bottles that had powder in them. No way could it do 30 projects even with the refill.

Wonderful bright colors! We needed to presoak our shirts and tea towels before dying, because otherwise the dye did not penetrate well and we wound up using a lot more dye without getting very good results. When the shirts and towels were presoaked and damp prior to dying, the results were fantastic - still bright, but spread more evenly and required a lot less dye. I like how this kit makes it not messy at all to mix the dye, although theres really no help for how messy things get when you start letting kids use squirt bottles (we did our projects outside, no regrets there).

We did Tie Dye shirts as part of a bonding experience for our Cheer stunt camp this summer. I bought extra rubber bands just in case but didnt need them at all. We did 24 Tshirts and I bought three of these. I only needed one and a half. It comes with several gloves as well as an extra set of each color. And it was cheaper than my local Walmart by about $2.00 each. Will definitely buy this again for future tie dye projects. My daughter (in the pic) used much less than the rest of the kids (some of them over saturated and had a funky brownish color).
