I had these in my classroom. They worked for about six months and now they’ve stopped. I’ve checked everything to figure out why they’re not working with no luck. I even switched the plug because I have two sets hanging. Very bummed because my students loved them. Mine did not come with a remote.

These lights are cute, but WHY OH WHY did they place the control for the lights on the plug that goes into the outlet? I bought these to hang from the canopy on my toddlers bed and had planned to plug them into a power strip that would be kept under his bed (so that there arent unsafe wires everywhere!), but that would have made the button completely unreachable. So now I have to buy some special type of wall outlet extender so that I can plug them right into the outlet that is partially covered by the back of his bed. Of course I didnt realize this until I had already spent forever untangling them and hanging them on the canopy - otherwise I would have returned them! These should either come with a remote, or the control should be moved elsewhere! Update: After I bought the special plug to plug them in behind my sons bed, I also bought a switch that allows my son to turn the lights on and off via a switch that he can reach while in bed. I thought this would solve all the problems! But alas, no. I was hoping that after we picked the setting for the lights that we wanted (the solid setting where they remain on), that they next time we turned them on, that they would keep that setting. But no, after you turn them off and back on, you have to navigate through all the other settings (via the button on the plug) until you get to your desired one. (It starts off with a flashing on-and-off setting that I find too stimulating and not good for bedtime-story reading.) So after we turn the lights on we have to reach for the button on the plug and push it 4-5 times. I cant believe that I have purchased 2 extra devices and still cant get these to work the way I want! I wish I could go back in time and return these before I spent the time wrapping them around his bed canopy!!

It took a long time to untangle these lights and the stars are not securely fastened and keep falling off. I might have to add a drop of glue to secure them better, which will be a tedious task as there are 100 of them. The lights themselves are smaller than anticipated. I haven’t put them up yet, but the timer function seems to work fine and they will look very nice on a tree or on a window if you can work with the difficulties as stated above.

I like how lights work, their color. Some of the stars were falling off the light bulbs, but you can put them back easily.

Purchased 2 strings of these lights to go under our carport for a Quarantine Prom we hosted for my daughter and her friends in April 2020 (Covid forced the cancellation of the school sponsored prom). We stuck them up with Command strip hooks on the ceiling of our carport and plugged them into an exterior plug. We never took them down since they were so pretty. We also never turn them off or unplug them. It’s been two years through hot Georgia summers, wet Georgia springs, and occasional freezing temps in the winter. These lights are STILL going strong! Command strip hooks still holding them up and they still look as good as the day we put them up. Not one bulb has gone out and the cord connection integrity has remained strong. The switch box is stuck on the carport wall with double-sided tape and has maintained its integrity for 2 years. If there is a hard wind driven rain, everything will get wet but that hasn’t affected its performance. So for anyone concerned about the ability to withstand the elements or the overall quality in general, I can say without hesitation that we are beyond pleased with our purchase!

Love the effect of the star shape!

I have it hung around my room and it lights up most of it with a dim lighting. I find it preferable to being bright personally, it feels more calm and homey to me. It does not come with a way to turn it off though which was really disappointing. I hung it up around my room hoping for the end of it to be a way to turn it off but it was really just a way to change the lighting settings (which are all awful aside from the still one or fading one btw, really hurts your eyes) but I didnt really want any other lighting settings except maybe color changing would be cool, but it wasnt a deal breaker for me. But still, you have to get up and unplug it every time you want it turned off. I worry that eventually that will wear out the outlet. Even still though I enjoy having them and Id likely buy them again, but it would be nice if they added a remote.

I used these to add a festive flair to my garden center/patio as well as to keep some of the wildlife away. I paired these with solar string lights and they set a celebratory ambiance for relaxing after a day of working in the vegetable garden. (There were a couple of star shaped light covers missing, but it certainly didnt make a difference in the overall presentation.)

A simple addition to a princess bed. We arent using the solar portion, but put batteries in and are using it for my daughters bed. Works great, as expected.

The brightness is a soft white so it’s very relaxing. It has different settings of blinking, but I just keep it on stationery. I’m going to order more for my balcony.
