> 3 dayI was sceptical about the price and quality of this little mount. This thing holds tight on to round and flat surfaced. It took a beating on the boat on Lake Michigan but never came lost. The soft pads will wear away over time which may cause some scratching but should be able to replace the foam with something.

Greater than one weekIt is well built. But the design is flawed. If you are trying to clamp really hard on something, the tightening nut backs out. This is because it’s reverse thread. So as you’re tightening the clamp, you’re loosening the nut. I’ve tried to epoxy it on, red locktite with no luck. Wasted money on three of these.
