As someone who baked in the sun during my teen and college years, I paid the price with an invasive basal cell carcinoma on my cheek 15 years ago. Since then, I am vigilant about wearing sunscreen and no longer suntan although since COVID, I hike a lot and spend a significant amount of time outdoors. This umbrella adds an extra layer of protection - shielding me from the summer suns heat and strong rays. The silver is a nice stylish, classy alternative to the basic black umbrellas I have for rain protection. I keep it in my car so it is available at all times. Thus far, it appears to be sturdy and the mechanism has been reliable. Time will tell.............

It is really nice. I’m happy with it and it is sturdy and cute design. It fits in my purse but actually feels large when you open it up. So it works well to keep me cool while walking in the sun and protected me during the rain.

I used this umbrella in the park recently while I was hanging out with my friends (they always like to sit in the sun) to keep protected me and my dog protected from the sun. My only complaints are that its hard to push the umbrella back down and to close the velcro (you have to wrap the folds in a very particular way).

Was great for a sun filled weekend. However it didn’t hold up very well in wind. Where I live rain and wind usually go together. Looks nice though and kept the sun off of me.

When it broke, it would not open because the strings at the top would not retract. I only used this as a sun umbrella. My other umbrellas last much longer, and are dependable. An umbrella should last much longer.

I am a women of particular age and race so many are shocked to see me with my UV umbrella! I use Retin A at night so I have to protect my skin from those destructive UV rays! The bonus is that it also keeps you cool on those hot and muggy days! This was one of my best purchases of 2021 and my skin has benefited greatly…I don’t leave home without it!

Ive used this Sunbrella once a week for a little over a year. Up until today it has worked perfectly. Today, as usual, I used it twice, but when I tried to close it the second time (its got a convenient close button), it would not close completely. The rod will not compress all the way in. While that might be an inconvenience, the umbrella will also not stay open, and neither the open nor the close functions work. Im really sad because this umbrella was perfect as I walked back and forth across my church campus protected from the sun. I examined the ribs and nothing looks bent or broken, so Im assuming there is something wrong with the rod. I will have to look through my files to see if there is a warranty.

It works well to block the sun but be aware that it will break under the light wind blowing. If there is an option for a stronger sun umbrella I would recommend that instead of this one. I got the pink one and it’s not pink underneath (see photo).

Worked really well for the sun, I get incredibly faintish in the Florida heat and did wonders but one gust of wind popped it inside out and broke one of the metal limbs holding it together. Wasnt even a terribly windy day so pretty disappointed
